Who We Are
As constructive therapy under California's coronavirus safer at home lockdown in the winter and spring of 2020, Anna Donlin got lost in creating t-shirt designs for herself. Friends she showed these designs to asked if she might sell them. In response to their interest, this shop was born.
Always inspired by good design, quotes by people who've done great things, and personal self improvement, this design project has been a great source of creative expression by combining these interests.
Even if no one buys anything from this shop, Anna will continue to create these designs for her own wardrobe. But it is our hope these designs speak to you and others. That they inspire and motivate customers to achieve their individual goals.
Anna currently is the Chief Creative Officer and a founding partner in the Visual AI startup ADME AI, INC. This sounds grand, and is cutting edge tech, but it is also very scrappy. Her design background includes working at Yahoo! Search Marketing and TripAdvisor. She has also worked as a designer in faraway places like Berlin, Germany and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. And she's donated her design, organization, and event planning skills to Surfrider Foundation's Malibu and South Bay chapters.
Anna strongly believes that a positive mindset attracts amazing opportunities and that frontiers are meant to be explored.
In addition, Anna realized that each design would mean so much more if a percentage of the sale went towards helping others in the world. Thus she decided that 50% of all proceeds from all items in the shop would be given to two nonprofits equally. These nonprofits are DirectRelief and MicroAid International.
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.
Direct Relief's assistance programs are tailored to the particular circumstances and needs of the world's most vulnerable and at-risk populations. This tradition of direct and targeted assistance, provided in a manner that respects and involves the people served, has been a hallmark of the organization since its founding in 1948 by refugee war immigrants to the U.S.
MicroAid International rebuilds permanent houses for survivors of natural disasters after the world's attention has moved on.
As a long-term disaster recovery organization, MicroAid assists people as they rebuild their lives and reintegrate into the economic and social fabric of their community.
MicroAid gives no-strings-attached hands-on assistance—building permanent homes and replacing tools of livelihood—to help families return to self-sufficiency.
